Vote for Kids is a new campaign that looks to change the conversation in the fall election, elevating child and family issues to the forefront of the political conversation and encouraging people to vote. By engaging in this conversation together and by voting we, together, can make the issues that families care about our top priority.
This statewide effort is dedicated to helping Alaskans learn about aspiring local officials and their positions on issues vital to our children's well-being. Our initiative will survey candidates for public office, asking what their position is on issues like children’s early education, safety, and health care.
This initiative is led by Voices for Alaska's Children, a project of the Alaska's Children's Trust. We plan to form a partnership with business, healthcare, and early education leaders as well as child advocates from around the state.
